The Beginning
It all started with an idea, an idea to provide services which crossed over traditional transportation lines. We set out to deliver value on a comprehensive level and to breed quality through the supply chain. Our idea was not to be different but to be resourceful in a global economy and to present opportunities to our customers. We do this on many platforms.
Mitco Limited began operations in 1988 and emerged from a void in the transportation industry separating domestic, international, and traditional distribution freight systems. We recognized the demand for integrated 3PL services, and the demand to provide customers an advantage by integrating their logistics requirements. In having complete supply chain comprehension and offering integrated services, our chief value to our customers is providing lower cost management solutions with greater productivity from demand planning to delivery.
The Now – Team Mitco
Mitco takes great pride in our abilities to partner with customers and bring solutions to what were once perceived as problems. Our customers range from small manufactures shipping sand from India to fortune 500 companies requiring full Purchase order management and underlying logistics support.
Mitco is a leader in this market. We have built our company to be neutral and our systems to report across proprietary lines. Our value is to our customers and not in protecting a piece of business by holding the information tight. We are an open platform company that is fully EDI compliant with plug and play capability supporting message traffic. We provide global visibility and reach across traditional vendor lines and supply chain events and deliver value in information. We offer additional support in offering a full range integrated logistics services and broad based product knowledge. Mitco's emphasis is on providing lower cost management solutions, and greater productivity.
With the enhancements in technology and information management resources, the ability to combine services under a unified platform provides customers expanded capabilities, and tighter controls. This is where Mitco has directed its efforts as a company. Customers are looking for efficiencies at every level and Mitco is delivering.
One area of our acceleration has been towards the continuity and quality of information and integrated systems. They look for us to support their effort in reducing their administration and vendor management cost. By working closely with our customers, many times we can support their purchasing programs by matching delivery schedules and distribution methods to help reduce their carrying cost of inventory goods. Other benefits are tighter controls, pricing efficiencies, and smoother distribution cycles and unified management.
The Future
Looking to the future, Mitco will continue to build efficiencies and customer value of our core products as a 3PL in supporting of fulfillment, packaging, distribution, and delivery functionality. We will continue to invest in strong management and software development providing enhanced reporting and data exchange capabilities. Mitco plans to further broaden our web reporting values, in performance and exception reporting as well as providing more upstream reporting value in supply chain coverage to our customers.

Mitco Limited is proud to make our service performance public. Since 2002 Mitco has handled approximately 72,000 containers and 3,982,385 cubic meters of freight all while meeting or exceeding our customers' expectations. Mitco has maintained 99% performance rate in meeting load capacity conditions as well as a 99.36% rate of carton count - loading accuracy.
